The weekend in review

Hello....how are you all doing. Seems like it has been a busy week. To start things off...a layout....easter....girls dyeing eggs.

Yesterdays events: we played soccer in the a.m. we played a very nasty team that has kicked our butts badly in prior years...however this year it was close & we probably beat them. i think about every girl cried at least once...a few bled...it was good soccer =). we went to the asian heritage festival. The girls had a great time...we ate good food...nepalese momos (dumplings with spicy red sauce), cambodian chicken wings, thai pad kaphrao(?), and some afghanistan something or other (don't ask me when afghanistan become an asian country). We watched some dancing. We bought a cambodian hat for emma and bella got her hand decorated with henna. i'll show some pics soon.
Todays events: Church. Lunch in the yard....the girls wanted a picnic today for mothers day...so we went to hy-vee and bought lunchables....they were in heaven. Went to the funeral home...I unfortunately had a young patient that died. It was very sad and unexpected. We then went to the botanical center and browsed the plants. Made a trip to Target this evening to buy non fun stuff like shampoo. The below picture was taken today at our picnic...the lovely Mr. Tripod did a great job once again.

One more thing...for all my fellow cooking light lovers...just thought I'd share. Successes so far this month with the May 2007 issue: Fiesta Rice p 194. Pasta Primavera p. 178. Vegetarian Taquitos p. 198. Not so great: Quick and Easy Pansit p. 195 (not enough sauce....very dry) and Stove Top Mac and cheese p. 185(I've tried this before as this is a reprint recipe and I believe I thought it was good...this time, not so good...girls refused to eat it). So anyone else try anything worth recommending?

YAY!

Tinkering Ink makes an appearance! Could you just eat our papers up? I adore them. Working for them has been a dream!

Love the layout and glad you had a great weekend.
